JOB SUMMARY 

This individual is accountable for leading Maintenance standard work practices across the plant that ensure reliability, maintainability, and availability of plant resources with specific focus on overall deterioration losses to deliver the plants Compelling Business Need. 

This role must always ensure that our people and food safety quality always come first.  This critical role requires a confident leader with strong technical and communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships across Quality, Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and R&D.  Must have ability as a Servant leader to engage people at all levels by being an active listener, ability to coach and empower team members to take ownership for driving out losses at all levels.   

This position will also be accountable for ensuring compliance of all SOPs, procedures, policies, customer, and regulatory requirements.  

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 

Reports to: Plant Manager 

Positions reporting to this: Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Supervisors 

Supervises:  3 to 6 Direct Reports 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Accountable for overall Reliability and Availability of equipment within the plant. 
  • Responsible for leading execution of Plant Capital plan and executes small infrastructure projects 
  • Control of Maintenance Labor and Expense budget within the plant. 
  • Identify, select, and develop talent to ensure "bench strength" and continued development and advancement of top talent within the maintenance & reliability department. 
  • Accountable for ownership of the Maintenance Department SWP Board.  This includes ability to Understand Coach leading and lagging KPIs to all levels of work force.  Perform gap analysis across all SWP to identify key skills gaps and implement training plans integrated into the development and execution of 30 day/90 Day/yearly action plans that ensure delivery of Plant CBN. 
  • Accountable for implementing and maintaining standards for Breakdown Elimination, Planning & Scheduling, Lubrication, Predictive Maintenance, Maintenance information systems, Shop Tool/Facilities and Inventory Management. 
  • Partner with plant leadership, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure equipment improvements are achieved through preventive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques with a focus of eliminating specific losses around equipment deterioration.  
  • Supporting Autonomous Maintenance Standard work practices around implementation of Safety Maps, Centerlines, Defect handling, Clean/Inspect/lube tasks to support Planned stops to reduce unplanned downtimes.   
  • Ability to utilize Data analysis in identifying key planned and unplanned losses to direct plants limited resources on top losses. 
  • Support, Lead and Assist with plant projects to ensure delivery of productivity goals. 
  • Partner with Engineering team to ensure all RAMS deliverables are complete and implemented to support delivering project resource goals.   
  • Partners with Quality to ensure Quality programs including FSQI, HAACP, GMP and CAPA are followed to deliver Quality and safe products to our customers.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • General knowledge of USDA, SQF, BRC, GMP, and HACCP, sanitation, quality, and safety programs required. 
  • Experience Leading continuous Improvement teams successfully. 
  • Able to manage 3-8 + people through minimal direct subordinates 
  • Ability to influence plant leadership and drive cultural change within the plant in regard to Safety, Food Quality and Reliability 

REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a technical field 
  • 5+ years of Working with CMMS systems. 
  • 7 + years of Technical Manufacturing Leadership. 
  • Experience Leading TPM implementation and or AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and PM (Preventative Maintenance) implementations. 

PREFERRED 

  • CMRP Certification 
  • 5+ years of Food/Bakery Manufacturing experience 
  • Black/Green belt in Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools, a plus. 
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
