Summary:  To provide courteous and extra special service and information to each guest in the Spa.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.    Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and assist with guest requests.

2.    Promote the Spa by providing information about the services and products offered.

3.    Stock lockers, showers, relaxation rooms and grotto and pool areas throughout the day.

4.    May distribute promotional literature or answer guest questions.

5.    Alert manager of low inventory of Spa supplies.

6.    Tie spa robes, fold towels, wash cloths, sheets and other items used in daily operations; load washer and dryer through the day; clean and sanitize sandals and match pairs for restocking locker rooms.

7.    Maintain supply of fresh linens. Collect used robes and towels and store in proper bins. Bags of used linens can weigh up to 40 plus pounds, but carts are provided to transport all linens to back of house area via the elevator.

8.    Change the water bottle in the dispenser as needed.

9.    Maintain clean hallways, baseboards, counters, outdoor patios, etc. to provide a quality experience for spa guests.

10. Must clean, sanitize and restock all guest areas including lockers, sinks and shower areas between guest use.  Will clean fingerprints off of glass doorways.

11.   Will perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:  High school graduate preferred or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, interpret and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, protocols and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine notes or reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate supply needs or safety issues in writing to managers and front desk team.

Mathematical Skill: Ability to use basic math to report supply needs.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems and seek help from managers or front desk team.

Computer Skills:  Ability to look at computer screen and read bookings to see when front desk may need assistance.  Will answer phones and pass along messages to team members.

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.

Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a fast paced, physically-taxing position.

The employee is frequently required to walk and climb stairs, or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
