Qualifications:Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Engineering Project Management with Facility Repair, Renovations, and Modernizations. OR BA/BS Degree in Engineering or Architecture - Preferred - Professional Registration for Engineering or Architect and/or Project Management

Duties:The work is within USDA Facilities Division (FD) supporting FD with managing Building and Facilities projects (B&F) at Ft. Detrick, MD, the modernization project at Prairie Du Sac, Madison, WI, and support other projects as needed. It is preferred that the enrollee lives within the DC Metro area to support the multiple B&F projects at Ft. Detrick. The enrollee is expected to manage projects through initial stages to completion/closeout of construction. These stages include concept planning, development of full biddable engineering design/construction packages ready for contract procurement and technical administrative support of the project. Work is conducted closely with ARS staff, ARS FD, ARS NEA, ARS Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), ARS Location personnel and various contractors to develop and manage projects within ARS guidelines and procedures.
Would have to make site visits to job sites.

- Coordination of Ft Detrick and Parie Du Sac projects with ARS Facilities Division, ARS
Northeast Area (NEA), ARS Head Quarters, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and various contractors. 30%
- Provide engineering design management support for all assigned projects. The design tasks include review of design submissions (i.e., design analysis, specifications, and drawings), cost estimates, engineering calculations, code analysis, approvals by local authorities and participation in design review meetings. 30%
- Provide engineering construction management support for assigned projects and on occasion other locations when needed. The construction tasks include review and recommendation of administrative and material submittals, monitor contract schedules, review contractor requests for information, and participation in construction progress meetings. 30%
- Develop full Architect-Engineer (A/E) design packages to include Project Requirements Document (PRO) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) for various BARC projects. 10%
Other:- Travel Requirements: The enrollee will be required to visit/fly/drive to Madison, Wi, on average twice a year, at Parie Du Sac and to Ft. Detrick on average ten times per year until projects are completed. The enrollee may also be required to help out on other projects that could require travel to any place in that ARS has a facility.
