Battery & Charger Service Technician

Hull Lift Truck, Inc. is currently seeking a Power Solutions Specialist due to continued growth. The Service Technician within the power solutions team is to provide technical and application support for the electric power supply for all material handling equipment. The position exists for the purpose of providing maintenance and breakdown repairs to industrial battery and charger equipment in a timely and professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Efficiently plan and coordinate activities including battery and charger maintenance, repairs, and installations
• Replace parts and fuse lead parts with gas torch
• Neutralize and wash batteries
• Perform diagnostic procedures and repair Battery and Battery Charging Equipment
• Perform acid adjustments for batteries in the field
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety procedures
• Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions with customers

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid Indiana For-Hire Endorsement or Michigan Chauffeurs driver's license, or able to obtain
• Capable of obtaining a DOT medical certification
• Good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with power tools
• Welding experience a plus
• 4-6 years of previous experience in field support within DC Power or related field
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Able to communicate in written work, using advanced written skills.
• Able to hear normal sounds with some back ground noise – constantly
• Able to see objects close and distant as in reading and driving – constantly
