WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Assembly Department, responsibilities of the Final Assembly Lead include knowing the workflow and processes in Final Assembly, maintaining productivity in a Final Assembly station, and communicating issues and information to the Final Assembly Supervisor. Duties also include installing aircraft components. The Final Assembly line shop is required to meet strict quality standards on all listed skill sets. Other expectations may include:

  • Coordinate daily productivity in a Final Assembly Work Center (Station)
  • Responsible for other technician's output 
  • Manage Work Center Schedule
  • Job Kit, inventory, and shortages checks
  • Operate company systems and workflows
  • Enforce productive behavior
  • Collaborate on process improvements
  • Utilize hand tools, fixtures, and computer-based job processing system to complete work
  • Assemble and install aircraft components and systems
  • Work with sealants and bonding adhesives
  • Coordinate with the Final Assembly Supervisor to resolve exceptions as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned or required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Final Assembly Area knowledge is required
  • Previous leadership experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with basic leadership, setting expectations, and following up to ensure correct outcomes
  • Must work well independently and in a team with a great attitude
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hand tools and fasteners
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to follow directions and execute processes with minimal direction
  • Be team-oriented and have good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of quality
  • Adaptable to changes, self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, and driven
  • Great attendance, punctuality, and discipline performance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
