Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

The Distribution Unit Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, organization, and directing of the warehouse business unit on a daily basis.  This person is responsible for meeting shipping schedules, picking and shipping orders accurately, maintaining an efficient work rate, and the maintenance of the equipment and facilities at the distribution unit. 

  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Must be familiar with all computer programs necessary to run the DC in a most productive manner.
  • Trains and supervises distribution unit employees.
  • Responsible for compliance with employee safety programs.
  • Practices good house-keeping and organization throughout the work area.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Such other duties and assignments that shall be made from time to time to employee from any member of the Company's management.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with supervising employees preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and management.
  • Ability to read and write, use a tape measure, and operate a calculator.
  • Work weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Wear safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, protective gloves, when necessary.
  • Minimally must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Request assistance for loads over 75 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push and pull.
  • Firm grasping using both hands.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.
  • Requires ordinary conversation, hearing, and visual acuity.
