Qualifications:

Minimum of 9 year(s) of experience in Computer science field or IT technical writing, IT procurement /acquisition of IT equipment, managing/maintaining Information Systems. OR BA/BS Degree in Computer Science Field

  • Extensive experience in detailed and comprehensive IT technical writing that includes, but is not limited to, drafting, revising, outlining, formatting, editing, publishing, verifying, researching/reading all types and formats of information, materials, memorandums and records related to Information Technology. Evidence of self-motivation and ability to expeditiously learn new materials and skills without constant monitoring is a must.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, Adobe, Fax, Copying Machine, Scanner
  • MS Office ( Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) Visio, Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, VoIP phones, Video Technology Communications (VTC)
Duties:

Assist the Las Vegas EPA's National Center for Radiation Field Operations (NCRFO) by providing IT technical and professional support described in section (IV) Duties and Responsibilities. Position requires extensive use of computer-based tools for execution of tasks. Candidate must be comfortable with computer environments and be willing to learn additional software platforms. Please note: This position will be performed onsite at the NCRFO location. Safety protocols required by the EPA office location will be in place.

  • Assist with preparing, evaluating, submitting, tracking, coordinating, reconciling, and entering all purchase orders/ contracts for IT section. Become a technical expert with purchasing processes and EPA procurement systems. Assist in technical IT reviews as they relate to EPA?s Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) process.   60%
  • Assist in the preparation, revision, modification, tracking of all IT documentation that utilizes strong writing and technical skills reflective of extensive information technology certifications or expertise.   15%
  • Provide direct technical and professional assistance as needed to IT manager and/or KM (all other duties as assigned), which might include point of contact for mass dissemination and collection of IT related information for all users.   10%
  • Assist the IT manager or/and KM in organizational Project Management.    10%
  • Assist the custodial officer (IT Manager or/and KM) on all inventory related tasks.    5%
