CAD Technician

Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets. We have a current opening for a CAD Technician. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.

 

Responsibilities:

• Completion of Utility Plan sets
• Generate land base prints in AutoCAD for use in the field
• Completion of Utility Plan sets in AutoCAD for use in construction
• Complete permit drawings for various permitting authorities
• Compile job books upon project completion
• Import/export various file types to and from AutoCAD
• Responsible for taking field notes, utilizing GPS, and completing plan design for new and existing power and communication facilities

 

Requirements:

• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to multi-task
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and learn new software
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to handle more than one project at a time and to meet deadlines
• Overnight Travel may be required for the completion of job duties
• Valid drivers license
