Technology Project Manager

Definition and Examples of Work

  • Manages IT projects within the organization.
  • Oversees technology-related research and development projects.
  • Coordinates KTA resources and external technical resources.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Latitude and Impact of Position

This position works daily to obtain information, provide input, and problem solve as part of a team, while using extensive technical and industry knowledge. Most work tasks are self- determined and the position may direct the work of others while providing coaching and training in a formal and informal manner. Participates in short-term planning. Decision making is done independently or with a supervisor and all purchases must obtain supervisory approval. Successful completion of job tasks impacts internal systems, processes and procedures, customer satisfaction, and external relationships.

  • Primarily works in a general office environment using computers, electronic devices, and related office equipment.
  • Occasionally works outdoors with exposure to all weather elements, including heat cold, humidity, and dust.

QUALIFICATION

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate technology problems and create manageable solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and other operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software programs.
  • Ability to learn new application software quickly.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in project management.

Certification, License, Registration

  • Valid driver license.
