The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over and per EPA Policy applicants must be US Citizen to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Science/Public Admin/related field OR BA/BS Degree in Science, Education, Communications, or related

  • Strong organizational and writing skills, computer proficiency, and experience in information management. Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, Adobe, Copying Machine
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive)
Duties:

Provide technical support to managers and staff by maintaining relevant databases and websites, tracking documents and other written materials, creating and maintaining an inventory of PPE and other physical equipment, identifying, recommending and advising on database and electronic capabilities for document/record sharing and technical references to include MS Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Perform independently and/or assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Provide professional office administration support.   40%
  • Documents and records - developing, designing, and maintaining. Lead for MS Teams, development and maintenance of records, GIS digitization support, Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS)/ Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Information System (CERCLIS), additional EPA databases as assigned.   30%
  • Outreach/coordination on sampling schedules, meetings with stakeholders, briefings for senior leadership, public meetings, trainings   20%
  • Inventory/oversight/ordering of equipment, including vehicles and PPE   10%

Other:
  • In-house training on standard operating procedures for database systems and office policies and processes.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits within Montana
