Staff Accountant - Roch Capital Family Office

Roch Capital is seeking to fill a Staff Accountant role in the Family Office.  

This position reports in-office 5 days a week 8am - 5pm at the Glen Mills, PA headquarters.

Summary:

The Family Office Staff Accountant performs general accounting functions in the Family Office through the responsibilities listed below:

Essential Functions:

  • Perform monthly accounting close for various entities with minimal complexity in Great Plains and ATWeb.
  • Record journal entries in Great Plains and ATWeb related to the organizations' activities including income and expense accruals as necessary.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
  • Send book and wire transfer requests to Applied Bank for processing.
  • Prepare cash roll forward reports for individuals.
  • Assist in the quarterly production of the Board Report and year-end financial statements for audit.
  • Prepare monthly financial statement and investment packages for assigned entities that require no formatting in Excel.
  • Support month-end closing through timely and accurate account reconciliations as well as other assigned duties.
  • Maintain schedule of loans between affiliated entities and prepare cash transfer requests as interest payments become due.
  • Act as back-up for the Senior Accountant for daily cash reporting.
  • Perform timely follow-up on outstanding matters identified through the reconciliation and review process.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in fulfilling accounting responsibilities.
  • Identify and escalate issues timely.
  • Draft and maintain thorough and detailed procedures for daily work processes

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, motivational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, or a comparable software program, is also required.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet program.
  • Experience with Great Plains or ATWeb a plus.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting from an accredited four year college or university 
  • Entry Level.
