Nail Technician

Summary:   To provide a professional, friendly Spa experience for guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.   Provide Spa and service rooms at the start of each shift.

2.   Provide professional and friendly manicures and pedicures for guests, utilizing our SaniJet pedicure chair  

      and following procedures outlined in the Spa Manual.

3.   Be knowledgeable of retail products and attempt to sell and upsell products to guests.

4.   Report any supply shortages to the Spa Manager or Assistant Manager.

5.   Restock product supplies at the end of each shift.

6.   Post tickets, ring up purchases on POS system, answer phones and schedule spa appointments, between  

      services, as needed.

7.   Will perform daily paperwork of Spa transactions.

8.   Make the Spa Manager aware of any instances of guest dissatisfaction.

9.   Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:  Strong customer service skills are required, previous experience working as a Nail Technician is desired.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should  have basis computer skills and be able to quickly learn Springer Miller Database software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Must have a current Missouri Manicurist license.

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
