For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Business Management and Administration Office (HQ 720). Work location to be determined.

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 1,747 hours. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Financial Assistance (prefer Federal) OR BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 3 year(s) in Federal Financial Experience

  • Financial Assistance knowledge; presentation skills; administrative skills
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS SharePoint
Duties:

The enrollee will assist in revising training materials and assist in delivering Financial Assistance training for a cadre of entry level Grants Management Specialists (GMS) to be coordinated and conducted at the BLM, with oversight by the BLM Financial Assistance Policy group. Guidance from the Financial Assistance Trainers/Developers may also be provided.

  • Assist with presentation and administration of comprehensive Financial Assistance Training   40%
  • Assist with developing and revising training materials and tools   40%
  • Coordinate, schedule and assist with Financial Assistance training for Grants staff   10%
  • Support other Financial Assistance training requirements, as assigned   10%

Other:
  • Travel Requirements: To present training or other
  • Overnight travel: Possibly 2 to 4 nights.
  • Air travel anticipated: If training is conducted at the National Training Center or other selected location
