For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Business Management and Administration Office (HQ720). Work location to be determined.

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 750 hours. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Federal Financial Assistance OR BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 6 year(s) in Federal Financial Assistance

  • Ability to design and deliver training programs.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS SharePoint
Duties:

Enrollees will work with the Lead Enrollee in the design and development of a comprehensive training for entry-level Grants Management Specialists throughout the BLM.

  • Review and incorporate BLM policies and procedures into a guidance document for new employees   25%
  • Assist in design and development of a comprehensive training program for new Grants Management Specialists   25%
  • Assist with the coordination with the National Training Center on the delivery of the training program   25%
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions to new employees   20%
  • Provide mentoring on difficult, unprecedented situations   5%

Other:
  • Overnight travel: If training is conducted at the National Training Center or another selected location
  • Air travel anticipated: If training is conducted at the National Training Center or another selected location
