Sr. IT Manager/Director
summary / objective
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager who can support computer information systems, manage other IT personnel, and provide support for end-users. This position will require engaging in project implementation tasks for IT infrastructure, performing advanced troubleshooting of technical issues, managing the Help Desk to ensure resolution of tickets, and escalating more complex tickets for further troubleshooting by Corporate IT. A positive attitude towards end-users is required to maintain and build the confidence the business has in the IT department. Prioritization of tasks is required to ensure delays to manufacturing are kept to a minimum, compliance with regulations is being maintained, and company projects are kept on track.
essential functions
- Manage ticketing system, support requests will be communicated via: Phone Call, Text, Email, Instant Message, In-Person, etc.
- Ability to identify and remediate underlying technical issues which are causing repeat tickets
- Ability to manage Windows Active Directory
- Setting up physical workstations including: Desktops, Laptops, Docking Stations, Monitors, Keyboard/mouse, VOIP Phones, software appropriate to an employee’s position: ERP, Document Tracking, Office, Printing, File Sharing, Etc.
- Understanding of Switching and LAN concepts (DHCP, DNS, Routing / Switching, SSH, etc.)
- Understanding of Windows 10 operating system installations, management, and support.
- Productive when working independently (Self-starter)
- Ability to update and maintain network documentation as you make changes

The employee may be required to sit at a computer or be on your feet for long periods of time, be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ascend ladders, and work in environments that are not temperature controlled.
position type/expected hours of work
This is a full-time position. Work schedule is from 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday-Friday with some remote / on-call work for emergencies and scheduled outage windows for maintenance.
required education and experience
- High School Diploma
- Associates or Bachelors Degree with a focus in IT / CS / Business Administration
- At least 10 years experience in the IT field
- At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
preferred education and experience
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical or other similarly regulated industry (food, alcohol, etc.)
- Experience working in companies with 100-500 employees
- Experience working with any specialized systems such as Serialization, Chromatography, etc.
- Experience writing and maintaining company SOPs relating to IT
- Any certifications such as: A+, Network+, MCSE, CCNA, or other industry standard certifications that demonstrate confidence in the employee’s understanding of Information Systems.
