HR COORDINATOR

The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding efforts of our non-driver workforce. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a passion for connecting people with the right opportunities. While this role will assist in general HR duties, recruitment will be the primary focus.
Responsibilities:
Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for mechanics, and office personnel.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
Post and manage job ads on various platforms including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and industry-specific job boards.
Attend job fairs, schools, and community hiring events to attract talent.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates and manage applicant flow in the ATS.
Conduct background checks, employment verifications, and drug screenings in compliance with DOT and CTPAT regulations.
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding.
Assist with maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with federal, state, DOT and CTPAT regulations.
Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement, retention efforts, and training coordination.
Respond to routine HR inquiries and assist employees with basic policy and benefit questions.
Help with reporting, data entry, and file maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in recruitment or human resources; transportation/trucking industry experience preferred.
Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams across departments.
