Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fiber Optics Assembler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and testing fiber optic components and systems, playing a critical part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. As a Fiber Optics Assembler, you will work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to understand assembly requirements and specifications, ensuring that all products comply with industry standards. Your expertise in handling delicate materials and your ability to follow detailed instructions precisely will be crucial in this role. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a passion for fiber optics technology.
Responsibilities
- Assemble fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components according to specifications
- Test assembled components for performance and quality assurance
- Calibrate and configure assembly equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean and organized workspaces
- Document assembly processes and update inventory records as necessary
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues
- Participate in training sessions to develop new skills and improve existing ones
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in fiber optics
- Strong understanding of fiber optic principles and technologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools, machinery, and testing equipment
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
