Residence Manager with Housekeeping or Hospitality Experience

Our clients have a beautiful auxiliary residence in Southern Georgia (twenty-five minutes from Thomasville, GA).

They would like to hire an experienced hands-on Residence Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, year-round role.

 

Relocation assistance and temporary accommodation offered to the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the residence, work alongside the team
  • Provide informed care of specialty materials and surfaces (e.g., antiques, artwork, marble, fine linens, etc.)
  • Oversee cleaning vendors during busy times and ensure that their work is completed to residence standards
  • Maintain a project list and perform deep cleaning and organizational projects in the off-season
  • Maintain closets, perform household laundry (including handwashing and ironing), and maintain the dry-cleaning log
  • When the principals are in residence, coordinate with other team members to ensure a smooth visit for the principals and their guests
  • Run errands as requested

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working as a House Manager in a private home, Head Housekeeper in a luxury hotel, or Chief Stew on private yacht
  • Excellent, verifiable references
  • A desire to offer five-star service
  • Elevated attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Superior cleaning skills, including knowledge in the care of fine materials and furnishings
  • Leads by example. Works well as part of a team; all hands-on deck attitude.
  • Unflappable and enjoys work equally when the residence is empty and when it is bustling with family and guests.
  • Great communication skills

 

Schedule:

  • Off season (May – Mid-November), schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • In season (Mid- November – April), schedule is generally Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility required for longer days when the family is entertaining

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • $110,000 to $125,000 annually commensurate with experience
  • Excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, paid holidays, and an annual discretionary bonus
