Housekeeper

Position Summary

A Bridgehampton, NY client is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join their team. This full-time, year-round position involves hands-on daily cleaning and maintaining the home to the highest standards of care and detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a daily walkthrough of the home, promptly reporting maintenance issues to the Property Manager
• Perform the general and specialty cleaning of the home, with attention to caring for fine materials and surfaces
• Adhere to the cleaning schedule
• Work collaboratively with the other staff
• Handle laundering and ironing with care and precision
• Answer the phone and door with professional courtesy
• Run occasional household errands

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper in a fine home for a private employer or experience as a yacht Stewardess
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Outstanding hands-on cleaning skills with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to "read the room" and anticipate the needs of the principals
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Positive service mindset and thrives in a team-oriented environment

 

Schedule:

• In the summer months:
  • Four x 10-hour days weekly, guaranteed 40 hours/week
  • Hours 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with two 30-min breaks
• In the off-season the schedule could change to five 8-hour days, if preferred.

 

Compensation:

• Compensation of $40-$43/hour depending on experience.
• Annually this is $83,200 to $89,440/year plus a $20,000 stipend for healthcare (Total base compensation of $103,200 to $109,440)
• Benefits include an annual discretionary bonus, a generous healthcare stipend, paid time off, paid holidays (and compensatory days for any holidays worked), and sick days.
