Job Summary

Our business is broken up into small operating units with their own General Manager and P&L. Each GM is empowered to grow their business in an entrepreneurial manner. It is a formula that has worked extremely well for Amphenol over time.
The intern will work in our Corporate Treasury Group based out of Amphenol's World Headquarters in Wallingford, Connecticut, USA. The intern will work on a broad array of meaningful strategic Treasury projects and get a glimpse into the inner workings of our company. Here at Amphenol we value entrepreneurial spirit. The intern will be provided with opportunities to learn about core Treasury functions, that include cash management, foreign currency, insurance, and debt capital markets, while also being tuned into the global economic market. The intern's primary responsibility will be to assist with the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS). This project will focus on working with our banking partners and understanding Amphenol's complex banking structure, while working on bank account rationalization and the buildout of a bank account management (BAM) system and bank fee benchmarking. Amphenol's decentralized management model is one of its keys to its success and provides plenty of opportunities to be involved in meaningful business initiatives, apply your education and problem solving skills, address real business issues, and enhance your knowledge & skills about strategic Treasury initiatives that simply cannot be achieved in a classroom.
Qualifications
***Need to be local to Wallingford, CT*****
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of financial principles, cash management, and corporate finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with treasury management systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to document and present financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as required.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies in a dynamic work environment.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
- Previous internship or project experience in treasury, finance, or a related field.
