Accountant II

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who can support the Compliances and Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, Internal Audit from time to time. Ensures that all the compliances related to Audit and in general are adhered from time to time. Also supports on the different MIS requirements from the Operations and the Management from time to time. Overall support in terms of Analyses of Variances, product costs and departmental expenses. This role requires an understanding of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial and accounting processes, and support business operations.


 

Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):

In general, this will include the following tasks:

  • Standard costing, Current costing & Analysis of Costs
  • Monthly variance analysis - Material price, freight & duty
  • Monthly /Quarterly MIS reports on earned hours, peer comparison, share of business for transporters
  • Inventory Quality Report, Ageing, Analysis of slow moving items
  • Liaisoning with the auditor - Coordinate and attend to Annual Audits, Corrective actions on audit findings to ensure compliance with relevant statutes & India Accounting Standards.
  • Support on Preparation and finalization of accounts as per IND AS for Statutory Audit
  • Inventory Valuation, COGS Analysis & Margin Analysis
  • SOX & USGAAP compliances
  • Month end closing with strict adherence to closing schedule

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications: B. Com/M.Com/Inter CA/Inter CMA

Experience: Hands on experience on general accounting matters and a good understanding of the Financials, accounting concepts and audits. Preferred experience in the area of 5 to 8 years.

Knowledge – Good knowledge in areas of general accounting and Product costing and overall financials of the company. Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Power BI

Skills – Ability to define problems, research/collect and analyze data. Good numeric skills. Detailed oriented with ability to check and interpret documents. Analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Strong IT literacy - MS Office, Accounting packages, and ideally SAP. Fluent written and verbal English. Work independently and meet deadlines.
