Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The loading Supervisor is responsible for the safety of the employees in their area, the careful and efficient movement of materials and product on and off trucks and the movement of materials and product throughout the shipping and other areas in the distribution center. 

Essential Functions:

  • Adheres to the daily production schedule to ensure on time customer deliveries.
  • Monitors loading processes to see that they conform to established quality assurance procedures.
  • Provides training, support and guidance to subordinate personnel to develop their job skills.
  • Develops cross-training with the area employees to establish efficiencies and continued operations during absences or vacations of employees.
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Plans and manages manpower needs and conducts orientation for new employees.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

Requirements:

  • Prior management and leadership experience. 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Other requirements:
    • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
    • Regular and punctual attendance and ability to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push and pull.
    • Occasionally lift and carry loads up to 40 pounds.
    • Requires ordinary conversation, hearing, and visual acuity.
