Manufacturing Rework Technician

This position is responsible for the processes of reworks for all departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing manufacturing support throughout the composite and layer shop as required.     
  • Work safely to prevent injuries and follow all safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform critical rework to Rigid and Flex product lines to include but not limited to solder mask and Surface Finish.
  • Evaluate, analyze and verify the cause of non-conforming product and associated assemblies. This includes product returns and final disposition, to help determine rework options.
  • This may include customer interaction and internal engineering communication.                           
  • Record notes and work with the Process Engineers and or Quality Engineers to document process and provide MCN for changes to the batch cards.
  • Assist engineers and technicians in other departments as necessary.                                                
  • Monitor action items list and make progress against those assigned to you.            
  • Assist in update existing process specifications and write new ones as needed.      
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying systematic problems.
  • May be required to work off schedule to help support customer deliveries.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.            
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.                                                
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read blueprint /customer drawings.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 25 lbs. safely. 
  • Understand basic IPC specification and understand military/commercial specs.
  • IPC-A-600 Certification
  • Basic Computer experience - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
  • 2+ Years PCB experience a plus.
