Product Validation Engineering Intern

Summary

The Product Validation Engineering Intern will support the Product Validation team in evaluating product performance, designing 3D fixturing, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers hands-on engineering experience in a fast-paced Electronics Manufacturing environment, providing opportunities to work on real-world projects. The intern is expected to work 40 hours per week on-site.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and model custom fixturing to facilitate efficient product testing.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of mechanical and electrical testing for product qualification and performance evaluation.
  • Compile and organize test data, producing detailed and comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Support research and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Contribute to additional engineering projects as assigned by the Manager, supporting team objectives and initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently a rising senior or recent graduate in a Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for product design and modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a creative and analytical approach to engineering challenges.
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a high-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
