For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in records related area. OR BA/BS Degree in Business Management, Natural Resources, Communications or related field

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
Duties:

Enrollee will provide the full range of records management support for the Land and Water Conservation Fund in Data Resources Management; Records, Directives, and Forms

  • Analysis & organization of records, directives program.   50%
  • Interpretation and guidance on policy.   5%
  • Lead support in records assignments, content management and design, file structures, and management and analysis.   30%
  • Provides guidance to NPS employees on records management and retention.   15%

Other:
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to the Atlanta, Omaha, and Denver regional offices for LWCF may be required. This is not anticipated to exceed one trip to each region per year. If the enrollee does not live in the DC metro area and their in-person support is needed, they would also need to travel for this. This is estimated to be 1-2 weeks a month.
  • Overnight travel: As stated above, travel to the regional offices might be needed on rare occasions ? less than once a month as there are only three regional offices. It is expected that travelling to any of these regions would constitute overnight travel. If the enrollee does not live in the DC metro area and their in-person support is needed, they may be expected to travel overnight. This is estimated to be 1-2 weeks a month.
  • Air travel anticipated: Air travel is anticipated for travel to LWCF offices in Atlanta, Omaha, and Denver, if applicable. If the enrollee does not live in the DC metro area and their in-person support is needed, travel by air or other commercial means is allowable. Again, travel to the DC metro area is estimated to be 1-2 weeks a month.
  • Physical requirements: Position will be primarily sedentary; however, enrollee will need to be able to move boxes of records typically 40 lbs or less.
