Director, Human Resources

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

In the role of Director, HR you will play a crucial in shaping and guiding the organization through an exciting period of change. This position will provide strategic and, at times, tactical Human Resources support through innovative and practical solutions that support the overall mission and goals of the assigned geographic region. 

For Consideration:

  • Provides HR functional expertise, advice and counsel to regional leaders
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the site HR Team, supervisors and managers in the areas of policy interpretation and application and assistance with various employee relations issues.
  • In coordination with the Compensation and Benefits Department, ensure effective salary, wage, and benefit programs are provided.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the Site HR Team to help maintain favorable employee relations climates through counseling and advising employees, developing and administering various employee relations activities, and promoting communications between employees and management.
  • Conduct research into personnel programs and activities and recommend changes or innovations where desirable.
  • Represent regional interests in recommending changes to HR policies, programs, practices, and benefits.
  • Evaluate and monitor the selection, promotion, placement, training, and termination of hourly, salaried non-exempt, and salaried exempt personnel (in coordination with the corporate Staffing Department) in order to ensure a well-qualified and effective workforce.
  • Support company-wide HR initiatives and provide assistance to other business units as necessary.
  • Multi-tasking over several different client bases, delivering organizational leadership in support of the HR business model, and influencing the EVP and other leaders, over those different client groups.
  • Manage and lead projects and/or teams as required to integrate and coordinate HR activities within a business function, or multiple business groups.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related curriculum and 8 years of related experience is required. 
  • Related experience consists of experience as an HR manager, consultant business partner, or similar role involving HR consultation and guidance with senior leaders. Previous experience as an HR Strategic Business Partner with global responsibilities highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills, with a working knowledge of relevant software.
  • Ability to act as a full scope generalist, assisting with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to influence senior functional and business leaders and be comfortable regularly interacting at a senior level.
