Accounts Payable Supervisor

Roch Capital, headquartered in Glen Mills, PA is hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor.

This position reports in-office Mondy to Friday 8am - 5pm at the Glen Mills office.

Summary:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Department.  The Accounts Payable Supervisor will ensure that vendor payments are accurate, completed timely and entered in the accounts payable system.  This position is also responsible for communicating and enforcing current accounts payable policies and procedures throughout the Company and providing Senior Management with updates regarding the department’s overall performance and productivity.    

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring vendor payments are accurate, timely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve the Accounts Payable entries prior to staff posting the entries.
  • Direct staff to research, investigate, and resolve invoice discrepancies; provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure that supporting documentation necessary for processing of invoices has been properly completed.
  • Review aging reconciliation.
  • Review sales and use tax returns.
  • Annually review 1096 and 1099 prior to submission.
  • Coordinate annual audit with external auditors.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable staff by providing training and professional development opportunities benefiting the Associate and the Company. 
  • Delegate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Enforce department-related performance and productivity standards.
  • Continually monitor for process improvement and recommend changes to established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate changes regarding Accounts Payable policies and procedures to management.
  • Ensure adherence to the department and Company’s policies and procedures. 
  • Recommend promotions or any other change of status for an Associate.
  • Draft, review, administer and approve all necessary human resources documentation, including disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, time off requests and personal status change requests.
  • Conduct employment interviews as required. 
  • Set and adjust work hours and handle Associate issues. 
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with all levels of Associates within the Company.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The Accounts Payable Manager has direct supervisory responsibilities over all Accounts Payable Associates and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Department.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university strongly preferred, with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Three (3) plus years of direct work-related experience or a minimum of three (3) years of actual Accounting, Accounts Payable-related experience within the organization.
