Product Compliance and Sustainability Specialist

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Product Compliance and Sustainability Specialist to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The purpose of this position is the Product Compliance and Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability initiatives for the Sidney facilities. This role also provides support in product compliance and supply chain responsibility, by interpreting regulations and ensuring compliance. 

The key responsibilities of the Product Compliance and Sustainability Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for analyzing manufactured assemblies for compliance with EU RoHS, REACH, China RoHS, and specific customer restricted substance requirements.
  • Interface with suppliers to obtain substance information for components
  • Gensuite and conflict minerals reporting, supply chain responsibility
  • Product Compliance Evaluations for New Material Approvals
  • Customer Sustainability Requests/ Surveys
  • Evaluate, manage, and prepare site sustainability data for annual reporting
  • Lead and oversee site projects to meet corporate sustainability initiatives
  • Develop sustainability program, visuals and training for employees

Salary: $60,405.80 - $80,000

Location -

  • Sidney, NY
    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Product Compliance and Sustainability Specialist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or equivalent education/ work experience.
  • Familiarity with Product Compliance Preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office Skills – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
  • Typing, sitting, bending
  • Interaction with operations (walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs)
  • Occasional travel
