VP, Tax Compliance

Roch Capital, headquartered in Glen Mills, PA is hiring a VP of Tax Compliance.  CPA required.

This position reports in office Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Summary:

The VP Tax Compliance, reporting to the SVP Accounting, is responsible Federal and State income tax compliance and supporting Tax Accounting as required for the Family Office and related enterprises. The VP Tax Compliance must work effectively with individuals from other areas of the company, as well as outside tax firms and auditors, and effectively manage projects to successful and timely completion. The VP Tax Compliance will provide identification of potential tax issues, implement solutions and communicate recommendations.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the preparation of the Federal and state income tax returns for the Family Office, related entities and their shareholders.
  • Responsible for filing other non-income related filings (personal property, franchise, licenses, registration renewals, etc.)
  • Reviews estimated Federal and State tax calculations and required cash tax payments.
  • Manages tax forecasts and effective tax rate calculations.
  • Manages the Tax Reporting Calendar.
  • Assists in tax planning projects to minimize Federal and State income/franchise tax.
  • Research federal and state tax issues. 
  • Manages the preparation of the annual tax provision for financial reporting purposes, if required (GAAP).
  • Manage taxing authority audits for all entities.
  • Manages the tax department staff:
    • Has the authority to hire or terminate Associates in accordance with Company policy.
    • May recommend promotions or any other changes of status for an Associate.
    • May draft, review, administer and approve all necessary human resources paperwork to include; disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, time off requests and personal status change requests.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 10-15 years of experience in Federal and State tax accounting and compliance
  • Masters in Tax

Certifications and Licenses:

  • CPA required.
