Maron Marvel’s clients come from the energy, construction, manufacturing, technology, transportation, insurance, and liability-related industries. In addition to mass toxic torts, the firm also offers legal services concerning commercial disputes and liability-related defense.
Maron Marvel is currently looking for an Administrative Manager to join their Wilmington, Delaware office. Reporting directly to the firm’s HR Director, the ideal candidate will be a natural self-starter with strong organizational skills. The Administrative Manager is responsible for a wide variety of administrative and marketing tasks including special projects, related to the Wilmington office and the firm wide.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with HR Director and Director of Recruiting and Attorney Professional Development to ensure consistent practices/procedures across all firm offices.
- Manage administrative staff across all offices and ensure efficiency, workflow, productivity and day-to-day needs of staff and attorney request are fulfilled.
- Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams and departments.
- Drive performance management process including touchpoints, monthly 1x1s, and annual review process for attorneys and support staff. Work collaboratively with leadership and HR on performance management issues.
- Manage staff development for support staff.
- Support employee onboarding procedures, including communications, scheduling, and training.
- Work with COO to complete annual insurance renewals, including Professional Liability Insurance, Workers Comp, etc.
- Assist COO and HR Director with planning construction and renovation projects, and space planning/relocations for all firm offices.
- Assist Director of Recruiting with scheduling interviews and managing performance reviews.
- Manage procurement, installation, and servicing of office furniture, equipment, and supplies. i.e., Ricoh leases in all offices.
- Assist on special projects with HR Director.
- Manage events – internally/externally for firm and marketing.
- Manage inventory and distribution of promotional materials for employees and clients.
- Help create and update the firm’s experience database with information collected while working on proposals, presentations, directories, and other marketing endeavors.
- Conducts research on targets, industries, hot legal topics, and attorneys.
- Maintains information on intranet and creates internal campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of prior office management experience
- Prior professional services or law firm experience preferred
- Attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills
- Training and presentation skills
- People management skills
- Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
