Safety Administrator

The Safety Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to safety, including assisting with accident investigations, claims management, and data analysis. The role also involves ensuring compliance with various regulations and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accident Investigation and Preservation
    • Help perform root cause analysis studies for trends.
    • Pull together information for accident DataQs
    • Maintain accurate accident registers for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Drug and Alcohol Program
    •  Ensure compliance with federal regulations related to Drug and Alcohol Testing, including:
      • Running the required annual limited query on driver force from The Clearinghouse
      • Administrating Random Drug Testing program  
  • MVR Tracking via Supervision program
    •  Monitor and address MVR alerts from Supervision. 
    •  Update driver database for Supervision monitoring
  • Record Maintenance
    • CPR / First Aid Employee Qualification Records for OSHA
  • Insurance:
    • Set up auto liability and general liability claim files internally and with TPA/insurance carrier in a timely manner.
    • Gather and monitor the completion of all required accident file paperwork: internal records preservation responsibilities, video evidence, and other documents.
  • Trailer Damages:
    • Gather driver reports, photos, and plant reports, and bill customers for damage to MTS equipment
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement
    • Develop reports on safety metrics, including accident rates, driver training participation, and other relevant data
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be semi proficient in Excel
  • Must be computer literate
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Be detailed oriented
  • Trucking/Transportation Experience preferred
