WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a member of the Engineering team, the Solidworks Designer/Drafter will work directly with aircraft engineers to bring design concepts to reality. As a Solidworks Designer/Drafter, you will create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings of all aircraft systems.
Other essential duties include:
- Assist the design engineers in developing models and drawings in Solidworks
- Create part 3D models given a coarse set of requirements
- Manage existing large 3D assembly models in Solidworks
- Develop and maintain drawing standards and templates
- Interpret engineering drawings and documents. Help correct errors identified during manufacturing and purchasing operations
- Other duties as assigned or required
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a CAD Designer/Drafter working within Engineering, Manufacturing, or other similar environments
- Engineering degree not required; Solidworks certificate preferred
- CSWP or CSWE highly desired but not required
- Experience with creating and reviewing GD&T on 2D drawings
- Experience working with large assembly 3D models in Solidworks required
- Experience working with Solidworks PDM preferred
- Well-versed in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills working with engineering design teams
- Highly self-motivated and able to keep deadlines
- Ability to follow prescribed processes, specifications, and guidelines
- Work well independently and in a team with a positive attitude & professional presence
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
