Superintendent

Equix Energy Services is an energy and utilities contractor that provides high-quality pipeline and facility construction services. The Equix team is built on pride in the workmanship and abilities of our crews. Our Core group of in-house welders have extensive knowledge and background in pipeline and fabrication welding. We have a current opening for a Superintendent. At Equix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Pipeline Construction, Gas Distribution, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Facility Construction and Fabrication, and Trenching services.

 

Responsibilities:

• Constructing gas distribution projects from organizing workflow to creating schedules and all logistics with implementing the project to completion.
• Leading the crews and day-to-day activities with clear concise communication skills
• Knowledge of safe operation of construction equipment and work vehicles used in underground installation of natural gas distribution piping, power, and telecom infrastructure
• Lead daily safety briefings 
• Take responsibility for safety and quality of work, meeting production goals and keeping records of production
• Proper care of assigned equipment and reporting any accidents/incidents
• Adhere to and promote company, OSHA, & DOT Safety Standards and Policies
• Leading the invoicing process for billing projects on time
• Supporting crews by grooming and developing team members for growth and advancement
• Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience with natural gas distribution construction
• Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills (i.e. e-mail, word and excel documents) 
• Valid Driver License with clean record
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
• Traveling out of town to work on remote job sites when needed
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Knowledge with locating underground lines and HDD equipment
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job
• Preferred Class A or B CDL
