House Manager in Miami

Our client has a primary residence in Coconut Grove, FL and is seeking a hands-on House Manager to join their team.

 

The House Manager will work alongside the other household staff and coordinate the Housekeeping team.

 

The right candidate is a polished professional with a hospitality mindset and prior experience running a fine home for a private principal.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assume global responsibility for the smooth running of the household and anticipate the principal's needs
  • Lead by example fostering a strong team culture
  • Manage the Housekeepers and coordinate with other team members
  • Report to the Estate Manager and Director of Residences
  • Assist with daily graces and guest services
  • Manage household inventories and purchase necessary supplies
  • Review and approved household expenses and vendor invoices
  • Schedule and supervise vendors, maintenance, services, and interior improvement projects
  • Plan, host, and execute social events; arrange all the details
  • As needed, elevate the skills of Housekeeping team, including caring for museum quality furnishings, artwork, fine collectibles, antiques, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing a team in a significant, private residence
  • Poised and professional, with excellent verifiable references
  • Capable of seeing the big picture and always willing to roll up your sleeves
  • Understands smart home technology and complicated residential systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Capable with technology including email, household management software, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

 

Schedule

This is a full-time, year-round position, generally Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with a high degree of flexibility to work additional hours and weekends as needed.

 

Compensation

Competitive compensation depending on experience. Benefits package (medical, dental, and vision, 401(k), PTO and sick days, 10 paid holidays, an annual discretionary bonus, and fitness reimbursement).
