Summary
The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing all retail operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for campers and visitors. This role includes training and oversight of retail personnel, leadership, providing customer service, inventory management, and sales expertise to promote the site's products, services, and amenities.
Essential Functions
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the site's retail store, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
- Trains, mentors and supervises retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manages inventory levels, orders merchandise as needed, and conducts regular inventory audits.
- Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of stock.
- Implements effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote retail offerings through various channels, including social media, signage, and promotions.
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for product expansion or promotional activities.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning.
- Ensures monetary transactions with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a hospitality-related environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team management and development.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and retail POS software.
