Dessert Holdings is looking for an HR Operations Coordinator to join our corporate HQ team in St. Paul, MN to primarily support payroll, benefits, and compensation.  In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, this role will interact with local HR teams in the U.S. and Canada, providing a unique opportunity to experience work spanning HR Total Rewards, HRIS, payroll and Employee relations. This position is mostly on-site in the office, with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.

The annual salary for this position is expected to be $60,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and skill. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support of employees and systems during our payroll integration and future M&A activities.
  • Provide support and assistance for the HRIS (UKG), running reports and audits of data integrity, and assisting with setup and testing of implementation change requests.
  • Support payroll in fiscal and calendar year end processes and provide payroll processing backup.
  • Act as main contact for benefits, working closely with local HR partners to research and resolve employee questions and with vendors to resolve employee issues.
  • Manage benefit administration and setup, update premium amounts, and ensure accurate employee benefit data.
  • Perform general plan administration support including monthly benefit invoice remittance, Short Term Disability information requests, and vendor coordination.
  • Assist with communication and administration for Open Enrollment process.
  • Assist with benefit compliance tasks and 401(k) plan management and COBRA administration.
  • Assist with administration of compensation programs including maintaining job family structure, completing market compensation research, creating and maintaining job descriptions, and bonus plan alignment.
  • Support special projects such as employee engagement survey and others.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior HR experience with exposure to payroll, benefits, and/or compensation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high-quality support in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, logical expressions, and data manipulation
  • Possible occasional travel to assist with new system implementation (not required)
