As our Human Resources Specialist – Operations, you'll be at the heart of our city's HR team, supporting a range of critical functions that keep our workforce thriving.
What You'll Do:
- Empower Leadership by delivering essential metrics on recruitment, performance, safety, and more.
- Manage Claims & Benefits by handling workers' compensation, FMLA, tuition reimbursement, and open enrollment.
- Support Employee Relations through new hire orientations, onboarding seasonal staff, and guiding employees on policies.
- Ensure Compliance & Accuracy by tracking property damage, managing data entry, verifying employment, and performing background checks.
- Foster Connections by building strong relationships with staff, applicants, and the public, all while supporting cross-departmental programs and HR initiatives.

Requirements:
- Three (3) years experience working in a full-time Human Resources role.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar field OR an additional four (4) years of full time employment in Human Resources
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Word and Excel.
- A valid driver's license.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $23.02 per hour and will increase to $23.94 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or IPMA-CP certification.
• Previous experience using Canva.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have initiative by demonstrating a proactive approach of identifying opportunities and taking action without waiting for direction.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Occasional After hours needed
WORK LOCATION: City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall. This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite.
