Swiss Lathe Machinist

SWISS LATHE MACHINIST

Dynomax, a family-owned company, designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles since 1986. We are expanding and are seeking an experienced Swiss Lathe Machinist to set up and run our Citizen Swiss and Samsung lathes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blue prints, work instructions and other engineering information to determine the machining process and sequence of operations
• Measure dimensions and tolerances using hand measuring tools
• Machine parts to specifications on a 7 axis Citizen Swiss Lathe or Lathe with Live Tooling
• Set Up and adjust holding fixtures, machine tools, and work material in accordance with work instructions
• Check and maintain machine cutting tools for adequacy in operation
• Calculate and monitor speed and feeds of the machine
• Ensure work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during the machining process
• Conduct proper inspection of first-run and in-process parts
• Perform accurate record keeping - log information on scrapped parts and complete production routers accordingly 

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
• 5+ years experience as Swiss CNC and Lathe (live tooling) Machinist required
• Read and understand G and M codes
• Ability to set-up and machine a variety of components
• Read and understand machine programming code
• Set up live tooling without supervision
