IT Programmer

Position: IT Programmer

Location: Hamden, CT

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking an IT Programmer to join our team at Amphenol Spectra-Strip in Hamden, CT.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide software application support and create new applications per business needs (focus is on ERP and manufacturing applications)
• Create a data repository to consolidate the financial and operational data of the business units
• Implement a robust bar code scanning system
• Write and implement clean, scalable code
• Troubleshoot and debug code
• Perform application testing, and follow change management disciplines
• Work with end users to identify issues and provide solutions or work arounds

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and experience with:
  • SQL 
  • X++
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Understanding of object-oriented software engineering
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in software development
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology, or related field
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in IT Programming or related field
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and PowerBI
