An essential part of The Bristal experience of our residents is that they always feel safe and secure. This is central to our residents knowing that they are cared for and attended to every day. After all, this is their home. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Overnight Concierge professional for all shifts, someone who will share in our commitment to maintaining an environment where seniors can feel free to live their lives securely and confidently. With dedication, skill and genuine compassion, you will be responsible for the general security of the building and the ongoing monitoring of the grounds. In this role, you will at times come into direct contact with residents who choose to call The Bristal home. So, above all, we look for professionalism, but also a kind and patient spirit. The loving care and diligence you bring to the services you provide are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Responding to and documenting resident problems and complaints
- Documenting common area and apartment maintenance problems in the maintenance logbook
- Maintaining thorough familiarity with the community fire safety procedures
- Ability to act in a supervisory capacity during an emergency
- Securing all outside doors – and locking entrances according to schedule
- Assisting Resident Services personnel with resident emergencies
- Being thoroughly familiar with the "How To" book in order to be ready to handle emergency situations
- Monitoring all security/surveillance systems and responding to situations appropriately
- Answering incoming telephone calls according to policies of The Bristal
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of experience as a security guard
- Clear speaking voice
- Very upbeat and positive demeanor
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Able to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Respectful and polite to residents
- Ability to quickly learn the emergency response system
