Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Federal government communications OR BA/BS Degree in Communications - Experience required with Windows, MS Word
- Adobe Acrobat; MS Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint
Duties:Assist Craters of the Moon National Park and Preserve with strategic communications and public affairs. - Assist with the development of strategic communication plans for summer operations, special events, and to support project implementation and provide NPS staff with media training 40%
- Serve as a liaison with the Regional Office to ensure consistency with applicable NPS policy and directives pertaining to public affairs and develop press releases, social media posts, media alerts and related communication tools 30%
- Copyedit park-level documents including standard operating procedures, job hazard analyses, management plans, directives, and related 20%
- Provide park staff with media training 10%
Other:- Travel Requirements: Approximately 6 trips to the park of 3 days duration
- Overnight travel: Approximately 6 trips to the park of 3 days duration
