The Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are the first point of contact at Bissonnet Veterinary Hospital and should be friendly, resourceful, and organized. These individuals work under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator and must communicate effectively with team members as well as clients and other pet professionals.
The ideal candidate has both customer service and administrative experience, possesses good leadership qualities, and is a problem-solver. Veterinary experience is preferred. Cornerstone knowledge is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Greeting & welcoming clients.
- Answering incoming phone calls.
- Place outgoing phone calls.
- Triage phone calls to other team members and/or leave a message for a doctor, LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician), or manager.
- Follow established written protocols.
- Schedule appointments.
- Manage the receptionist email including sending, receiving, and accurately entering medical records.
- Obtain & process payments.
- Account for closing the books at the end of the day including counting the cash drawer.
- Sell over-the-counter merchandise. Learn knowledge of products.
- Light cleaning duties of the lobby area.
- Attending monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Customer service experience (required).
- Basic computer skills (required - being comfortable navigating computers and learning new software is necessary for this position).
- Experience working in a veterinary setting (preferred).
We are currently looking to fill a full-time position. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after successful completion of a 90-day probation period. Starting pay is based on experience & level of education. There is room for growth and advancement with the company.
