IT Manager

NATURE OF THE POSITION

Provide information technology and cybersecurity direction for a transit operations organization on-site in Denver, CO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Incumbent will have a broad role managing security, operations, and operations technology (Train network) for 150 users.
  • Supervise and manage the activities of three (3) staff.
  • Must be available on-site at the Client location in Denver and be on-call as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Information technology and network operations pertaining to computing, cybersecurity, control systems, LAN, WAN, wireless and distributed systems including voice, data, video, and other operations technology components.
  • Experience creating and executing strategies to improve the reliability and security of IT information, systems, infrastructure, networks, communications, and programs.
  • Principles, methods, and techniques of systems analysis, inter-relationships, design, implementation and integration.
  • State, federal and local ordinances, laws, rules and regulations pertaining to public sector information technology and telecommunications management.
  • Strong comprehension of technical concepts with the ability to communicate them effectively to individuals of various technical abilities, skills, and backgrounds.
  • Learn new technologies, policies, procedures and guidelines established by professional organizations and/or governing agencies.
  •  Adheres to safety related laws, regulations, standards, and practices.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a closely related field from an accredited institution and at least 7 years of progressively responsible related experiences is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Five-years of experience in a supervisory role managing small to mid-size information technology department is required.
  • Train control experience is desired, but not critical.
