Position: Document Control Clerk

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Document Control Clerk to join our High Speed IO Cables team located in Nashua, NH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Document Control team supports for our Cable Engineering team as well as our business functions. With NPI/Design teams in China, Mexico, and US, the candidate will need to adjust to a very fluid environment driven by our customers’ requirements which often vary in the way they are presented to us, so “flexibility” is required when implementing across ATCS documented processes and systems. 

As the candidate demonstrates proficiency in managing documentation changes, they will continue to take ownership of the change process (ECN). Eventually, they will engage in work with our internal engineers, production groups, and global order entry/marketing teams to address a variety of projects and requests.

  • Develop thorough understanding of ECN database functionality
  • Review and approve proposed drawing changes in the ECN database
  • Mitigate ECNs to add/update to initially proposed changes
  • Work with off-shore Drafting teams to produce world-class product drawings
  • Once drawing changes are approved/finalized, all changes must be entered in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX)
  • Work with Doc Control Dept to formally release the ECN/print(s)
  • Maintain version control and track document revisions to ensure accuracy within the database
  • Perform regular audits of engineering documentation
  • Create and update document templates to streamline the process of document preparation
  • Assist in process improvements related to document management workflows
  • Train internal teams on proper document control procedures and software usage
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in document changes and revisions
  • Generate reports and track metrics related to document turnaround times, errors, and updates

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical or related field preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • General understanding of ERP systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with ECN processes and documentation standards
  • General interpretation of technical drawings within CAD is a plus
  • Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of a cross-functional global team
