Veterinary Assistant Position

Emerald City Emergency Clinic, located in the beautiful Seattle, is seeking like-minded emergency veterinary professionals to join our growing team. Our team is a close-knit, compassionate group who strive to always provide the best in emergency care to our patients. We are a full-service emergency hospital with an in-house diagnostic lab, digital radiography, state-of-the-art surgical suite, and onsite pharmacy, serving Seattle, and the surrounding area.

Skills Required:

• Phlebotomy and other laboratory collection methods
• Processing in-house as well as out lab samples; IDEXX, Urinalysis, Cytology
• Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases
• Medical record-keeping and invoicing
• Cash handling, POS, obtaining deposits for financial estimates
• Intake and Discharge of patients
• Recognizing changes in status and conditions of hospitalized patients
• Ability to communicate well with a team and report to a senior staff member or DVM on shift
• Following directions both verbally communicated and written.
• Basic understanding of treatment/flow sheets
• All aspects of veterinary nursing care not mentioned above
• Other tasks to be assigned by DVM on shift or management as indicate

Job Types: Full-time, Part -time

Shifts: Swing, Overnight, 10 and 12 hour shifts available. 

Salary: $24.00 - $30.00; (plus overnight shift differential)
