About NEW Solutions For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Office of Civil Rights, HQ-130. ? BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 1040 hours. ? A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits; all positions will accrue sick leave. ? The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees? and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission. BLM ESP Enrollees benefit from the opportunity to keep technical skills current; to access new training opportunities; to engage in gainful project-based positions; and to undertake meaningful tasks using their experience and talent to contribute to the environment, the national economy, and their own financial security.

Qualifications:

HS/GED Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EEO, Civil Rights, AEP/DEIA
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint
Duties:

-Enrollee will provide support functions to BLM?s Office of Civil Rights, HQ office, performing a broad range of duties with a national scope related to the administration of the BLM?s Civil Rights Program, which includes the Affirmative Employment/Equity Program and EEO Complaints Program. - Enrollee will collect, evaluate, and analyze statistical data for complaints and AEP. Identify trends, conduct barrier analysis, and prepare accessible presentations. -Enrollee will serve as an EEO Specialist/Counselor in civil rights and apply EEO laws, regs, and procedures with substantive knowledge of Federal Civil Rights and EEO programs. -Enrollee will engage in the full scope of complaint processing. Enrollee will prepare and/or review EEO Data Reports, derived from personnel systems or complaint databases, to conduct trend analysis. -Enrollee will express facts and ideas in writing in a succinct and organized manner

  • Physical requirements: Work will be conducted in an office setting. Enrollee will be required to sit at a desk and work at a computer for hours at a time.
