Reliability Test Technician

Position: Reliability Test Technician

Location: Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Reliability Test Technician to join our HSIO Connector Engineer team located in Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a position with responsibilities to support the testing and qualification of new products to industry standard requirements. This work will support the new product development process for the High Speed I/O Connectors group. Work will include development of test plans, setting up test equipment to conduct appropriate testing. Helping to define test procedures and managing lab staff to support testing schedules. The primary goal is to help ensure that products are ready for market launch.

  • Designing qualification test plans to confirm compliance with industry standards
  • Set up and conduct testing on products to confirm compliance with test plans
  • Managing lab resources (people and equipment) to complete testing projects to meet schedules
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving to identify root causes to identified problems
  • Collaboration with design engineers on preparation of test plans and fixture designs
  • Preparation of qualification test reports to be shared with customers

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working experience with test and measurement systems
  • Ability to understand & program the test equipment as per specified customer requirement.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • 3+ years relevant experience with setting up test equipment (Electrical, Mechanical & Environmental)
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and testing methods
