Sr. Network and Security Administrator

The Sr. Network Security Administrator is responsible for the daily administration of the network and security infrastructure across all Charles Industries locations. This role deploys, configures, and monitors network devices and security systems to ensure our data and systems' integrity, confidentiality, and availability. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for administrating the computer network infrastructure across multiple locations and related systems, including hardware, software, applications, and configurations. 
  • Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including user provisioning, group policies, and access controls. 

  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard network infrastructure and data. 

  • Maintain and follow disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. 

  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and deploy solutions. 

  • Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments to deploy solutions identified to remediate potential security risks. 

  • Plan and implement upgrades, patches, new applications and equipment installation. 

  • May evaluate new tools or equipment and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field 

  • Seven years of experience in network administration or related positions in LAN and WAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems, topologies, and protocols. 

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Servers, Network Policy Server (NPS) 

  • Knowledge of enterprise-class networking technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and VPNs. 

  • Knowledge of CATO network implementation. 

  • Experience implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. 

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services. 

  • Knowledge of CrowdStrike, Duo, Intune, PowerShell 

  • Proficient in managing Windows based infrastructure 

  • Experience managing both on-premises and Azure Active Directory. 

  • Hands-on experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances. 

  • Experience deploying cyber security training, preferably using the KnowBe4 application. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
