Product Manager

Job Title: Product Manager                                                   Location: Fremont, CA

Reports to: Director Global Product Management               FLSA Status: Exempt

Onsite: This is an onsite position located in 
Fremont, CA

Role Summary:

Provides OEM solutions to low-, mid- and high-volume customers in the Medical and Industrial Market Segments. Runs the portfolio and is responsible for overall product strategy and business leadership in order to meet sales, gross margin and operating income targets.  

Essential Responsibilities:
 

  • Facilitate, collaborate with customers and product development teams to understand product specifications and features.

- Create compelling messaging and positioning for products to differentiate them in the market.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Work with sales teams to create product training materials and sales enablement tools.
  • Assist in developing product roadmaps and ensuring alignment with business goals.
    - Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product requirements and       

               ensure successful product launches.
                - Establish pricing policy

  • Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs and market trends.
    - Support the management of product lifecycles from planning to execution.
  • Monitor product sales performance and recommend improvements based on market feedback and analysis.
  • Participate in the business engagement process, planning sessions, and product demos.
  • Assist in preparing product documentation for customers including product presentations, response for proposals and quoting.
  • Collaborate with Amphenol groups on marketing activities, materials and annual planning creation.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross functionally to define sales, technology and strategy
  • Develop the annual budget and strategy plans specific to the defined market segments – track progress and facilitate resolutions to any gaps
  • Key metrics:  Sustained profitable growth, custom product offering execution, product line vitality, new product introductions

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product management or sales experience, additional MBA preferred
  • Sensor product knowledge desired 
  • 4-year technical or business degree required
  • P&L management experience preferred

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in medical and industrial markets with established customers

 

Position Demands:

  • Moderate travel, domestic and international
