Applications Processor

What's the Opportunity?

Support the Driver Recruiting efforts by processing applications on potential candidates and or contractors and provide support for the department. 

What will I be doing?

  1. Processes applications on potential drivers and/or contractors.
    1. Performs, records, and reports results of employment/reference verification taking necessary steps to ensure the validity of information gathered and noting compliance with selection criteria.
    2. Orders and reviews background information regarding applicants from outside sources (i.e., DAC, MVR) ensuring compliance with selection criteria.
    3. Tracks and monitors the progress of applications, coordinating efforts with other company personnel and keeping recruiters informed of application status.
    4. Reviews applications to ensure that all information is complete and accurate, immediately forwarding applications to recruiters after making preliminary qualification decision.
    5. Organizes and follows-up on all applications to ensure that none are unduly delayed (i.e., signed release required, wrong numbers, recruiter assistance needed)
    6. Enters and retrieves information via CRT (i.e., new applications, 'help needed' information, final and preliminary decisions).
  2. Performs general clerical duties for the department.
    1. Maintains file of processed applications.
    2. Enters and retrieves information via CRT.
    3. Assists in mailing recruiting materials to prospective applicants.
  3. Assists in taking calls from prospective applicants during periods of absence and priority and as workflow allows.
  4. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • A basic understanding of office procedures usually gained through 1 - 2 years of clerical training and/or related experience.
  • Must possess excellent telephone etiquette, oral communication, interpersonal, interviewing, organizational, analytical, and general clerical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to handle confidential material, and able to operate basic office machines including telephone, fax machine, and Personal Computer.
